Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how you interact with a site.
2. Cookies We Use
DefineProcesses uses strictly necessary cookies and optional analytics cookies. Analytics cookies are only set after you give consent via our cookie banner.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Supabase authentication session — keeps you signed in | Strictly necessary | Session / 1 year |
Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)
These cookies are only set after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. They help us understand how visitors use our site and app so we can improve the experience.
| Cookie / Storage | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ph_*_posthog | Stores a unique visitor ID, session ID, and device ID for analytics | PostHog | 1 year |
| ph_*_posthog (localStorage) | Stores feature flags, person properties, and opt-out state | PostHog | Persistent |
| dp_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie consent choice | DefineProcesses | Persistent |
Session Recording
If you accept analytics cookies (including session recording), we may record your browsing session to understand how you interact with the app. Recordings mask all form inputs by default. You can opt out at any time by clearing your consent choice in your browser settings (delete the dp_cookie_consent key from localStorage).
3. Cookie Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Service to function and do not require consent under GDPR Article 5(3) and the ePrivacy Directive.
Analytics cookies require your consent. When you first visit our site or app, a cookie banner will ask for your preference. You can choose to:
- Accept all — enables analytics tracking and session recording
- Analytics only — enables analytics tracking without session recording (app only)
- Reject all — no analytics cookies are set; on the marketing site, anonymous aggregate visitor counts are still collected via a privacy-preserving hash (no cookies involved)
You can change your preference at any time by clearing the dp_cookie_consent key from your browser's localStorage, which will cause the cookie banner to reappear.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Our analytics provider, PostHog, processes analytics data on our behalf. PostHog cookies are only set after you consent. Our payment processor (Stripe) may set cookies on their own domain during the checkout process, subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
5. Managing Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling session cookies will prevent you from signing in to DefineProcesses. To revoke analytics consent, clear the dp_cookie_consent entry from localStorage.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our cookie usage. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
